Jules has been surrounded by textiles and fashion her whole life. Growing up with her parents, Jan and Doug, in the industry, she developed an early eye for quality, detail, and beautiful design. What began as childhood curiosity became a lifelong passion, leading her into the world of fashion in 1993.

She started her career in wholesaling, learning everything from fabric sourcing to garment construction. After years behind the scenes, she felt inspired to create something of her own. In 2014, she launched her first label, Favourite Things With Jules, running a small studio beneath her Fremantle home where customers would visit, connect, and experience her warm, personal approach to styling.

As her vision evolved, Jules rebranded and focused exclusively on clothing - refining her aesthetic into the timeless, easy-to-wear designs she’s known for today. In 2018, she opened the first Jules The Label boutique in Seminyak, Bali, bringing her dream to life.

The journey hasn’t been without challenges. During COVID, she juggled border closures, production delays, and constant travel between Western Australia and Bali. Her resilience paid off, and in 2022 she relocated the boutique to the beautiful space it occupies now.

Jules lives in Bali most of the year, working in the store daily alongside her incredible team - Misty, Janine, and her assistant Oka - as well as the dedicated sewers, dye-house, and production partners she considers family. She loves styling customers, curating looks, and building genuine connections with women from all over the world, especially those from WA who return year after year.

When she’s home in Australia, Jules spends time with her friends, family, and her two children, Ella and Will. Her passion for fashion and business has rubbed off on them both - with her daughter Ella now officially part of the Jules The Label team, continuing the family legacy with the same heart and dedication.
